8th Seed Upset in the NBA west?

Ok if the playoffs start today and The 8th seed Nuggets knock off the 1st seed Hornets in the first round can we really call that an upset? do you think that history could be made, can the 8th seed be favored over the 1st seed (never seen it happen) these teams are only about 6 wins apart from each other...also what if the #7 maverick knock off the #2 spurs or Lakers... is there a such thing as a upset in the west this year cause i think all possible matchups are at least a 6 or 7 game series
