Is language very related to religion?

I have some Thai ancestry and know that Thai language has quite a lot of references to Buddhism and even the official state-sanctioned religion is Buddhism where top/senior monks, when traveling by airplane in Thailand, are quite often allowed quick check-in past the main lines and first/business cl fares and seated before others. In the English language the religion most ociated is Christianity. Many atheists/agnostics do say things like "ohh my God!" or "Jesus Christ!" because it's just so much in the collective minds of English speakers. What do you think?
