How to convince my family to take me to reading festival?

Reading and Leeds (and download) are possibly the most notoriously dangerous and unreliable out of all the festivals in the UK. I don't think i would want to go at your age! Even I find it a bit scary! They are excellent Festivals but I went to various smaller and safer festivals before I went to Leeds. You have to remember that Reading and Leeds attract a certain crowd and it can get really rough and rowdy in the crowds and the campsite is far from safe and quiet! You might have more luck trying to convince them to take you to a more commericial festival like V, or maybe even one with a more family-friendly atmosphere like Glastonbury. I know you're not a kid but I know you'd have a better time at a 'safer' festival where your parents might let you wander off on your own or with your mates for a bit rather than at Reading where you might be a bit embared tagging around with your parents. :)
