Why are Ron Paul supporters completely insane?

Why do these new-age zealots feel the need to remind us about Ron Paul at every chance they get? Meanwhile, Paul still maintains about a 3% in the polls (in a statistical tie with Alan Keyes). It's not working guys. I admit, I like your candidate a hell of a lot more than I like Hillary Clinton or some of the Republicans, but come on guys.
